Ahem. In honor of Dubya’s ignominious week-that-was, I offer the following. To the tune of Lesley Gore’s “It’s My Party”:

Nobody knows where my country has gone;

The senators grew a big spine—

Why did they stand up to me?

Dems and Republicans walked through the door,

Voted against my big plan–

How could they do this to me?

I thought that I was the Man!

I’m gonna torture those punks in Iraq,

Steal all their oil for my friends–

I’m gonna strap their ass to the rack,
