    Well, if I’m not, I soon will be.
    With any luck, though, it won’t affect me–unless Canadians vote for an Anschluss as the Austrians did, which I doubt very much will happen. If they annex us, it will be without our will–and without our will, it will also be without legitimacy.
    Of course, I’m saying all this with my fingers crossed. And with the other hand knocking on wood.

    OMG! You mean the second amendment isn’t about individual rights to own guns!? It is about militias and who controls them and why? Better not let any gun nuts know. They might have an existential meltdown. You know, where they tell you again how their handguns and hunting rifles will stop the government’s tanks, helicopters and bombers. LOL

    Yup…it’s all about GOVERNMENT-run “militias” (or in modern parlance: armies, of which the US has no shortage!) It is certainly not about pudgy, paranoid guys in Michigan running around the woods in camo, firing machineguns at tin cans on fences and pretending it’s al-Q/the UN/Venezuela/whoever that they must defend their precious individual liberties against.
    I guess we now know what Tim McVeigh and Co. all did during civics class, eh?
