Fear doesn't travel well; just as it can warp judgment, its absence can diminish memory's truth. What terrifies one generation is likely to bring only a puzzled smile to the next. --Arthur Miller, "Why I Wrote 'The Crucible'", The New Yorker, October 21, 1996

Watch the videos. There’s a very funny skit at 18 mins of the first video 🙂

ROFL! Teodoro hoisted on his own Petkoff.
BTW, Teo’s about overdue for analysis here. I found a terrific article I’m going to translate as soon as the holiday Rummel dies down.
The guy’s a complete gasbag totally in love with himself … notice the part where “El Nacional”, of all publications exposes all the things he made up about his life in interviews?
His biggest accomplishment was 103% inflation in 1997 and putting Giusti in charge of PDVSA, who decided to overproduce and glut the market with oil, tanking the Vzlan economy.
And yet, the foreign media quote him as if he were some kind of credible source…it is to laugh.
WHY? WHY DO THEY DO IT???
Because he tells them exactly what they want to hear.
And you have to remember they have a memory of, like, 1 year 🙂
LOL, that’s what I figured. I’m sure that’s the same impulse that drove BusinessWeek (I think it was them) to name that greedy, inept Giusti buffoon as their Businessman of the Year, or some such.
