Chavecito to tour Gaza

From Panorama Digital via Aporrea, a short item:

The president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, intends to visit the Gaza Strip with the next humanitarian caravan, British parliamentarian George Galloway confirmed yesterday.

“President Chávez will be coming with me,” Galloway told Gaza journalists. He did not specify a date.

George Galloway arrived in Gaza yesterday by way of Egypt, accompanied by a shipment of humanitarian and medical aid.

Translation mine.

Watch out for those Israelis! We know what they’re like…

  1. Utpal says:

Chávez has denied the veracity of this report. He says he doesn’t have any invitation, but he´ll consider it.

  2. Funny. I found that report on Aporrea–which I’m sure he’s more than aware of. I wonder who jumped the gun.

  3. Utpal says:

I think Galloway jumped the gun.

  4. Sure sounds that way. Although I have to hand it to Chavecito, he’s classy enough to say he’ll at least consider going.
