Yes, it’s true. Holy Joe has taken that walk in the snow.
As someone on the tweeter said, the only thing regrettable about all this is that he didn’t give voters the pleasure of booting him.
So long, Joe…you won’t be missed!

Fear doesn't travel well; just as it can warp judgment, its absence can diminish memory's truth. What terrifies one generation is likely to bring only a puzzled smile to the next. --Arthur Miller, "Why I Wrote 'The Crucible'", The New Yorker, October 21, 1996

Greetings!
Wow, that was surreal. The old guy really seems not to understand what’s going on. Which is funny, because the protester is yelling in perfectly comprehensible English! Thanks, Luis!
However he goes is fine with me. Just don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out you crotchety old bastard. I’d hate to have to have you around Washington even if it was in the hospital recovering from a bruised ass. I’d be poetic justice, but the sooner you are out of town the better. You sure you wouldn’t like to start now?
I was actually thinking of using Steve Bradenton’s old Buzzflash cartoon (“Liberworms”) for this one, but Dubya’s already out of the picture. I know I’ve used this one before, but it just seems so fitting…especially with the “walk in the snow” theme, which is actually a Canadianism (Pierre Trudeau, before permanently resigning from office in 1984, took a long walk in the Ottawa snow to think the matter over.)
I still remember how the Democratic voters of Connecticut were cheated out of a real progressive candidate in Ned Lamont, so this scumbag really is one of my big pet peeves.
Joe Lieberman and other politicians have decided not to run again for a variety of reasons but for the most part they believe they cannot get reelected and they have lucrative private sector jobs and/or retirement packages waiting for them once they leave public office. They are also now very afraid of being so easily shot thanks to the minimal gun laws many of them supported for years that contributed to the recent Arizona massacre that caught up with one of their own.
It’s for certain that Lieberman would never get re-elected. He’s screwed his base too many times. At this rate, they’d even pick a Repug over him, unless it’s a teabagger. In which case, even the lamest Dem would be a shoo-in.
