Festive Left Friday Blogging: The only astroturfing Evo ever needs to do

I woke up this morning with Evo on the brain. (Get your mind out of the gutter, people, it wasn’t like THAT.) It occurred to me that it had been a while since I’d posted some pix of him doing something nice for other folks down there in Bolivia. So I scoped around to see what he’s been up to lately, and sure enough I found something:

Evo opening a new soccer field for the mining town of Colquiri, near La Paz.

As you can see, he’s dressed to play, and once the ribbon-cutting was all over and done with, that’s just what he did:

The grass is artificial, so the locals won’t have to squander any precious resources maintaining it. That’s important in a place like Bolivia, where shrinking mountain glaciers mean dwindling water supplies.

And that is the only time you’ll ever see Evo astroturfing–in any sense of the word!

Oh, c’mon, ‘Bina. Do you really think that mind in the gutter thing was unjustified? After all, he is one of a trio of South Am. Presidents you seem to have the hots for!
That aside, it is nice to see a President of one of these formerly abused countries FINALLY putting the proceeds of the precious resources of the country back in to help the people. Not the looting of the rabbiblancos’ helping themselves to the proceeds of the country’s resources and depositing the proceeds into their Swiss bank accounts.

Aw, crap. I can’t put anything over on anybody, can I? LOL…

So what gave it away? Oh, I know…it was the shorts, wasn’t it?
