Why marriage equality matters

Sometimes, it takes an old war veteran to put things in perspective:

Harlan Gardner, of Machias, Maine, flew in the last air battle of World War II. And he didn’t do it so that bigotry could go on reigning supreme back at home. If talk of sacrifice, bravery and doing it for the children is ever to mean anything, then it’s time equal rights were extended on ALL fronts, everywhere.
