BBC gets knocked in the kneecaps over Glastonbury censorship

‘Tis the season for music festivals. (Well, except for the “Hetero Awesome” kind, because they suck a whole bag of dicks, in the most “no homo” way possible.)

And of course, in the long proud tradition of music festivals, there will be bands and performers that really speak out on the right side of things, much to the annoyance of the powers that be. (Again, I refer you to “Hetero Awesome”, and the queer punkage that went on there, making things ironically VERY awesome for all the heteros that aren’t so easily upseteros.)

But then again, there will also be efforts to stifle speech coming from the right side of history, because it has a tendency to get on the wrong side of certain ugly interests. Case in point: An Irish band called Kneecap, who’ve come under fire yet again for refusing to shut up about Palestine and the ongoing genocide against the people of Gaza:

And apparently, what they had to say was so free of speech that the BBC tried to censor it. But no worries; a duo going by the clever name of Bob Vylan also stepped up, as did numerous others who still made their way around the censorious shenanigans of the Beeb:

You know you fucked up when even Sky News is covering this angle that you’re not. And doing so with (gasp!) a certain measure of sympathy.

Anyhow, for those wondering what they missed due to the Beeb’s bullshit, I got you…it’s audio only, and it took me some damn-near-doomscrolling to find, but here you go. Enjoy!
