Do you know this thug?

If you have seen this man and can identify him, Stormy Daniels and her lawyer would love to know who he is:

And yes, I do believe that she was threatened by someone working for and on behalf of Donnie Drumpf. The man’s mobbed-up to the gills. He’s also a well-known marriage cheat. Why would he NOT hire somebody to stalk and threaten Stormy if he feared that she would blow what little was left of Donnie’s fake respectability to the wind’s twelve quarters?

And Donnie’s fake respectability has always rested on shaky pilings. Just look at this:

A day before appearing on “The View,” Daniels attended a Manhattan court hearing centering on materials the FBI seized from [Trump’s lawyer Michael] Cohen in a raid last week. Federal authorities are investigating Cohen for possible bank fraud, wire fraud and campaign finance violations, and they have sought records relating to his involvement in settlements with women.

Ah yes, that Michael Cohen. The man who we now know arranged the hush-money payment of $130,000 US to Stormy in 2016, just before Donnie “won” the election…and after the “affair” was over. Looks like Mikey’s got a lot of ‘splainin’ to do, especially about how he managed to get his hands on that amount, just to hand it over to Stormy. But don’t call it hush money, and don’t you dare insinuate that Donnie was paying her not to shop out her story to any publisher who expressed interest!

But long before that, THIS is what happened to Stormy (who, incidentally, had NOT taken payment for her trysts with Donnie at the time they were carrying on):

During her television appearance, Daniels recounted in greater detail the story she first shared on “60 Minutes” about a man approaching her as she was preparing to go into a fitness class with her baby daughter. According to Daniels, while she was still standing in a Las Vegas parking lot, the man walked up and said: “That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.” She also said he told her to leave Trump alone.

Daniels said she never took the claim to police, and she has not provided any public evidence or corroboration. On “The View,” Daniels said that after being threatened, she took her daughter toward the “mommy and me” fitness class. When she appeared shaken, Daniels said, she lied to an instructor who checked on her, saying the child’s diaper was full and leaking.

She defended not telling the police, saying that if she had, her story about Trump would’ve emerged “and then the whole world would’ve known.” Daniels also said she did not want to tell her husband about the threat.

“I was just afraid, and I didn’t want everyone to know,” she said Tuesday. “I didn’t want my family to find out that way. I didn’t want my life turned upside down.”

Daniels said she did tell other people about the threat, including family members, friends and people with whom she worked, but she did not identify any of them.

Randy Spears, a former porn star who met Daniels on the set of a pornographic movie more than 15 years ago, said he helped Daniels when she was trying to sell her story of her alleged affair with Trump to Bauer Publishing in 2011. He said Daniels didn’t tell him about the threat at the time, but he wasn’t surprised.

“After the story was quashed, if she had an encounter in Vegas,” said Spears, whose real name is Greg Deuschle, “I doubt she would have picked the phone and up said, ‘Guess what, Greg … ‘ ”

Yeah, funny that. Stormy hadn’t been paid for her silence YET, but someone was already stalking her on Mafia Don’s behalf, and threatening her (and maybe her baby daughter, too) with death if she didn’t hold her tongue. And of course, she was scared. She didn’t have a bodyguard then; it was just her and her family, defenceless. Of course she wasn’t about to take that to the cops; anyone who could follow her to a mom-and-baby exercise class could probably come after her as she was exiting the cop shop, too. And maybe even run her car off the road, baby on board and all, and make it look like an accident…

But, like said: This is totally in character for Donnie. He’s well known for his mob buddies. So it wouldn’t surprise me if one of them sent a random thug out after Stormy, just to scare her out of ever telling her story of how Donnie chased her around a hotel room in his saggy undies while poor unsuspecting Melania was adjusting to motherhood at home, alone. I mean, that sort of thing is not exactly good for the image of someone who’s been scheming to be president since at least the early 1990s (and making Melania, to whom he was not yet married, pose in a red bikini on a fake official rug to support the “presidential” image, too).

Not that his image matters much anymore at this point. Every scandal Donnie could possibly have, he’s had it. I’m not sure what he could do to top it, but I’m sure hoping and praying that Syria doesn’t take the brunt of it.

PS: Oh look, Donnie has squawked up about Stormy’s composite sketch of the creep who threatened her. What were the odds? And just as much as I believe her when she says this happened, that’s how much I don’t believe him when he says it didn’t. SAD!

Revenge porn now subject to lawsuits in Newfoundland/Labrador

In light of the cases of Amanda Todd, Rehtaeh Parsons and Audrie Pott, this can’t come too soon (and it really needs to be federal, too). But the best thing to do is to make non-consensual sharing of nudes utterly illegal…federally. And internationally, too. After all, the illicit sharing of pictures knows no borders…and not everyone has the money to hire a lawyer who can lodge a civil suit.

Alex Jones has a belated epiphany…

…and probably a few too many drinks, or hits of his Super Male Vitality snake oil, or something:

Whoooooo, that was some mighty fine bull-snorting. Anybody else getting memories of this? Because I sure as hell am:

But wait, there’s more! Let’s hear Alex again, this time with the word “God” bleeped out but “damn” left in:

Yes, folks, he’s finally realized that Donnie is a piece of crap (his actual words!), and that he’s sacrificed his dignity (what little of it he had) and his access to his kids…FOR NOTHING! And now he’s also torpedoed his sycophantic relationship with Donnie. Who’s gonna buy all those cases of snake oil now, huh?

Bruce McArthur’s 8th victim has been identified

Toronto police detective sergeant Hank Idsinga gives a press conference in which the identity of a “John Doe”, shown in photos taken from the hard drive of Bruce McArthur’s home computer, is now revealed. The victim is Kirushna Kumar Kanagaratnam, a 37-year-old Tamil from Sri Lanka, who arrived in Canada in 2010, and is believed to have been killed in 2015. This brings the total count of identified victims up to eight, and of Tamil victims to two (Skandaraj Navaratnam was also a Tamil). So far, no ties to Toronto’s gay community have been established for this victim. The whole story of how he came into the hands of Bruce McArthur has yet to unroll, but his body was found along with the dismembered remains of the other seven known victims that were disposed of in planters in Toronto.

PS: Here’s more on this latest victim to be identified.

It is, indeed, a sad story…of a refugee who came here seeking a better life, and found a violent death instead. And one that will only get sadder as this case unravels.

Want a good husband? Don’t marry a conservative. (Redux)

Further to yesterday’s post, here’s a little nugget that came up in my YouTube recommendations this morning:

Yeah, how about that Eric Fucking Greitens, eh? Kidnapping, sexual assault, privacy invasion, blackmail…about all he hasn’t done is knock over a liquor store and get caught with a dead kid naked under his desk. And he STILL has the chutzpah to dig in his heels and refuse to step down!

And oh yeah, he’s like one of those guys I talked about yesterday, too. Complete with the silent little wife and kids to help him build that “respectable” image:

Yes, that’s one of his actual campaign ads. Here’s another:

Cringeworthy, isn’t it? And it sure as hell has NOT aged well. Kind of like Eric himself, no?

And of course, the idiots he was pandering to with that sanitized image have fallen for it…hook, line and stinker:

Some evangelical leaders, who supported him in 2016 along with an overwhelming number of the state’s white evangelical voters, said they had maintained their support for the governor.

Brandon Park, the lead pastor at Connection Point, an evangelical church in Raytown, Mo., affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, said he did not think Mr. Greitens should resign. He supports the governor’s anti-abortion positions, and he says evangelical Christians respect him for his policies. “I see a lot of these personal attacks both on Trump and Greitens as a way to take away attention from the ideals that matter most to evangelical Christians,” he said. “It does seem to be a little bit of a witch hunt.”

“Witch hunt”, Mr. Park? You really should look up the history behind that phrase. You’ll find that the original witch-hunts were all done by “good Christian” men like yourself, persecuting women (and half-grown girls) whom they perceived (or simply slandered) as sexually dangerous.

But I guess history’s not part of your Christian curriculum, is it? At least, not a comprehensive history. Because a comprehensive history would, at least, include a clear-eyed look at how sexually dangerous lecherous men are. Lecherous, self-righteous men.

Conservative men, in other words.

Want a good husband? Don’t marry a conservative.

Farron Cousins has the data, which may or may not surprise you, depending:

Yeah, what a shocker, eh? Guys who moralize the loudest tend to have the most to hide in terms of immorality and hypocrisy. The more they preach something, the less they practice it. How else to explain that “pro-life” right-winger who thinks God forgives him for making his mistress get an abortion? Or that lovely “traditionalist” who recently imploded his entire fascist “workers’ party” by brawling with his father-in-law…because he was schtupping his mother-in-law? Or Donnie, who babbles a blue streak about Mexicans and other immigrants (the browner their skin, the worse their supposed morality) bringing rape and drugs with them when it’s pretty clear that he’s done both drugs AND sexual assault himself…multiple times?

It’s no surprise that men with “traditional” views on race, religion, crime and politics tend to be “traditional” in other ways, too. Remember this meme?

Yeah, that’s right. It’s the ol’ double standard. Women have to be “pure” and faithful, but men? They can fuck around to their widdle hearts’ content. Hey, it’s a Traditional Value!

Of course, if you’re married to a “traditional” man, but your own views are not so “traditional” (and yes, note the quotes, there for a reason), it can be a source of friction in the marriage. Why? It’s the hypocrisy, stupid! Hypocrisy is the basis of so much “tradition” that it isn’t even funny. “Traditional” men have a long-standing tradition of one thing in particular, and that’s ENTITLEMENT. (I put it in ALL SHOUTY CAPS so you can’t fail to notice it.) They think they’re entitled to Other Women on the side because they’re just too much of a man for just one woman. And because fucking around is what Traditional Manhood is all about.

But since a trad-man must also have an aura of respectability, that’s where the Long-Suffering Wifey must come in. It’s her job to stand there like a trophy, smiling dumbly while he humiliates her (and himself too, but her most of all). As long as she stands there by him, smiling, saying nothing, he can boff Playboy centrefolds and porn stars to his heart’s content, and no one will call him on it. Were she to suddenly get fed up, and file for divorce, he’d lose face even as she gains her dignity back. Dignity is a zero-sum game with trad-men. If a woman in their vicinity has any, even just a little wee bit, they suddenly have none themselves. And if she gathers herself up and removes herself from the equation, the trad-man is effectively “cucked”…even if no other man is in the picture.

Some might think it’s ironic that men with liberal (or much further leftist views) make better partners in general, and better husbands in particular. But it’s true: The more a man makes the effort to shed male chauvinism (otherwise known as “tradition”) and become a better, more egalitarian and humane soul, the less likely he is to end up cheating, lying, screwing around…and oh yeah, DIVORCED. Just something to consider when you’re looking for a mate. And something worth holding out for, and NOT “giving your political opposite a chance”, too.

Take it from a woman who’s dated her share of conservatoads in the (forlorn) hope of turning one into a prince: Your kiss is NOT magic. You’re never going to turn him into a good partner if he’s not one already. That guy who takes you for granted as his girlfriend, but never shows up for you because he’s too busy running around with other women? He’s gonna do that forever if you let him. The more you put up and shut up, the more you’re going to end up standing there like a fool, grinding your teeth into stumps, getting ulcers and heart disease. And oh yeah, not getting any younger.

Best thing to do with a guy like that is just walk away. Find someone else if you can, and if you can’t, remember: Better alone than in bad company.

Why did Omar Mateen shoot up the Pulse nightclub?

Cenk Uygur has the facts, and they’re not what we’ve been hearing all this time:

And yes, he’s doing what all responsible journalists SHOULD do, which is retract the false parts of the story, and proceed to set the record straight.

So, what IS the straight story?

Well, for starters, “straight” is the operative word here. Omar Mateen wasn’t gay, or bi, or in the closet about it. He didn’t pick the Pulse nightclub for that reason, or even plain old homophobia, although he was repulsed (as are plenty of garden-variety ‘phobes) by the sight of two men kissing. But that wasn’t why he chose Pulse, of all places, to shoot up. It was a totally random pick, one that came up when he searched for nightclubs in Orlando. He was originally planning to make it Disneyworld, but decided against it because there was too much security for him to walk in with a gun. He chose Pulse, not because of any homosexual or homophobic reason, but because it was apt to contain lots of people. That is, lots of innocent, unsuspecting targets that he could mow down for maximum effect. That was the reason he searched for it. There were no searches for gay porn, or anything LGBT-related, on his computer. In fact, the only sexually explicit things he searched for were to do with older women — an unconventional, but still decidedly heterosexual interest. Far more relevant — and germane to the subject of terrorism — is the fact that he looked up Daesh a lot. Their motives and methods were what drove him.

As to the larger political implications of the story: It may be very tempting to be suddenly pro-war and pro-gun in knee-jerk reaction to this shooting, but it’s also highly inadvisable. War and guns, in fact, are what made this shooting inevitable. Were it not for the US of Amnesia’s meddling in Iraq and Syria, there would be no Daesh. They are products of the US of A, as much as guns and gun nuttery are. And as much as Omar Mateen also is.

The remedy for the problem must begin at home, and it must not be more of the same. No more war; no more guns. Nor should it be a police state, as Ferguson, Baltimore, and all the ugly incidents of police brutality against non-white people have shown us clearly. Racism and islamophobia are not the answers; they are the problems. The US is already crammed to the gills with all that; no wonder it’s a powder keg. The thing for the gay community to do is not to become, à la Milo Yeah-Nope, “dangerous” walking homophobic slurs, but to maintain their humanity and openness, same as always; after all, gay Muslims still exist, even if Omar Mateen was not one. They need a community. They need a social milieu to call their own. Guns won’t protect anyone who is vulnerable to terrorism; ask anyone who’s ever been shot by the cops by mistake for an actual terrorist shooter. Or ask anyone who’s been mown down by trucks in Europe. In the heat of the moment, a gun is as useless as a brick in the seat of your pants. More guns, more victims; the equation is direct and simple.

And if anyone in the US of Amnesia is serious about ending terrorism, at home and abroad, the thing to do is stop making wars. Stop sending guns. Stop, stop, stop, and pull back. US out of everywhere! It’s a simple lesson, and short enough to fit on one of their beloved bumper stickers, but it’s one they find awfully difficult, because they have yet to learn it.

Are Dubya and his war criminals suddenly respectable?

You might be forgiven for thinking so, but Jimmy Dore doesn’t:

And neither do I. Dubya is still a dick, even if Donnie is a bigger one. David Fucking Frum may sound suddenly reasonable right now, but remember, he’s the crapagandist who authored the phrase “Axis of Evil” and rah-rahed BushCo into that fuckery in Iraq. And all of them, ALL OF THEM, are war criminals. STILL. That hasn’t changed. Just because Dubya’s fucked-up White House wasn’t as badly fucked up as Donnie’s, doesn’t mean that it was a model of statesmanship and reasonability. If anything, it was the forerunner of the current ungodly mess. And it set a bad precedent, just as Nixon’s did for Dubya & Co. Why the hell Ellen DeGeneres saw fit to dance with these guys, I don’t know. Just because some time has passed between that fuckery and this, is no reason to get nostalgic. Nothing has improved in the interim, and in fact it’s all gotten worse thanks to policies Dubya set in place. No respect is due, and no respectability should be granted. Period.
